Future Foundations
At FordHaven, we believe every young person deserves the right support when stepping into independence. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Future Foundations a dedicated support project for care-experienced young people and care leavers aged 16–25.
The name Future Foundations was shaped with the voices of care-experienced young people and adults who helped guide and champion the project. Their involvement reflects what this service is truly about: building confidence, creating opportunities, and supporting brighter futures.
We understand that the transition into adult life can bring challenges, and no one should have to face them alone. Whether you need support with housing, education, employment, wellbeing, or simply someone to listen, our team is here to help.
How We Support Young People

Connect & Create Sessions
There are many reasons children are home educated, for some families this is a clear choice as an alternative to school education. For others the families are aiming to integrate children into more suitable learning environments.
FordHaven aims to enable children and young people to socialise and learn through play and art. This can make for an easier transition into their next steps.
All our activities are offered in small group sessions to maximise the benefit of time spent at FordHaven for each child. We've set up these sessions as we are aware of the needs of children in the above circumstances, as well as those who are Home Educated. Its important to be able visit a different place and vary their child's experiences.
Our sessions include activities varying from baking, clay modelling, crockery painting to other arts & crafts. As well as the opportunity to play board games, outdoor games, read books and free play with toys should they wish to do so.
We currently offer up to 8 places per session - the desire is to keep the quality of the sessions at a high standard, open to children aged 6 - 14.
The cost is £6 per hour, per 2 hour session. Only bookable in advance and payable termly.
